Birdseye Studio creates art that promotes wellness and fosters a sense of community within an interior space. Every piece crafted at Birdseye encourages interaction and playfulness with an eye on sustainability and local sourcing. The individual becomes part of the artistic process when they add flowers, greens, and propagated plant cuttings to the vases encased within the textile. At Birdseye, we believe this collaborative experience creates a connection between the hand of the maker and the touch of the owner to build a truly unique work of art.
Birdseye Studio combines a deep appreciation for traditional textiles from Michelle Dunbar’s education at Rhode Island School of Design with technical expertise from her role as knit innovation designer in the footwear industry. Birdseye is an exploration in craft: an opportunity to celebrate the tools, materials, and processes that bring the work into being. The explorations in 3D knitting blend handcraft and modern technology to create large-scale, textural works of art for the home.
