Michael Yurgeles is a photographer and mixed media artist whose work explores perceptions of time. His projects are usually long-term in duration and are inspired by natural, cultural, and personal history. He works with film and digital cameras as well as scanners, inks, paints, graphite, and found objects. Michael recently completed a 68’ long accordion fold book based on family genealogy and is currently printing editions of images from his decade-long “Daily Scans” project, for which he made an image a day using flat-bed scanners.
