Sherit creates one-of-a-kind women’s scarves and wraps from luxurious silk- velvet. The process of creating burnout fabric is called devoré. The fabric is dyed and hand-painted with more dyes in a water-color style.

Drawn to hand-made textiles for their organic forms that echo designs inspired by and rooted in nature. The patterns have movement, growing and evolving, sometimes accidental and frozen in time. The light illuminated in the lustrous fabric creates infinite vivid hues. Colors create moods and their combinations tell stories.

After graduating from RISD, Sherit moved to San Francisco as a young artist, and found selling crafts at street fairs to be a fun way to galleries nationwide.
