Marisa Murrow paints the California Coast and mobile home parks of her native environment, Los Angeles. Her unique choice in subject matter and densely packed neighborhoods of boxlike structures reaching out to the ocean allow the viewer to feel the Endless Summer vibe that attracts people from all over the world to relocate there. Influenced by her botanical and floral professional experience, the homes depicted in these paintings are shaped by her own desire to be surrounded by the colors of flowers.

Marisa’s commitment to RISD and building community led her to serve as the RISD Alumni Club of LA’s co-leader for seven years alongside Liz Lanphear 04 FAV.
